I enjoyed reading this report on Elio and his restaurant’s excellent work in Rikuzentakada.
Thanks so much for sharing this.
I enjoyed the other food articles, too, and hope I can eat my way through Tokyo as you have.
Beautiful photographs, amazing knowledge of the food, and very engaging writing!

I enjoyed reading this as well. You are so articulate. Do you take those photographs yourself?
Cool ! Hope I can eat at some of the places mentioned in your other articles.

Hello Masuko, Thanks for the kind words, Yes, I take all the photos myself. Please try all of these restaurants. And especially go to Elio’s. Thank him.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for sharing the site with us. I probably do not ‘understand’ what is meant by ‘obliterated’ (as mentioned in Rikuzentakata). But your pictures and words are not ‘obliterated”; they linger in my mind. Mike, you are a person with many different talents and faces! I felt I got to know you better.

Thanks Atsuko, I appreciate your comments. I am at a loss as to what I can do for Rikuzentakata. I will go back again with Elio to help out. If I have a talent for writing, then I would like to use it here to make more people realize what has happened to our neighbors in Tohoku.

Hello Mike,
I will go to Rikuzentakata next month. It must be good for me to read this report before going. Thank you for sharing this.

Moe, you are very welcome. I will go back to Rikuzentakata again too next month, I hope. The people there, and in all of Tohoku, need our help and support.
Good luck,
Mike

Hi Mike,
This is a great story. One of my friend is from Iwate and he says this kind of support is so helpful and cheer up people in Tohoku. Thank you for sharing this.
Take care.
